South Kesteven District Council is ready to collect hedge trimmings, leaves, grass cuttings, plants and weeds from your home, giving more time to spend in your garden.
Now is the time to start thinking about making the most of your garden by joining (or renewing) the 2021/22 Garden Waste Collection Service scheme.
With fortnightly collections starting on Monday 5 April, customers can now renew or register by direct debit at www.southkesteven.gov.uk/greenbin
If you can’t compost at home, it saves the time and trouble of trips to the tip or messing up your car with bags of garden waste. There is no limit to the number of garden waste bins you can buy, so whatever amount of green waste you produce, we can deal with it for you quickly and efficiently.
It represents great value for money for every householder across South Kesteven.
The garden waste we collect goes to good use. It is sent to a composting facility where it’s shredded and composted ready to be used on farmland as a soil improver and fertiliser.
The 29,000+ residents who joined for 2020 will shortly be contacted to remind them to renew in order to continue to take advantage of the service, which is also available to new members through the link above.
A bin sticker and/or bin will be delivered in time for the start of the new collection year which begins on 5 April, which will need to be attached to the bin as soon as it arrives. If the sticker is held up in the post, SKDC will still empty the green waste bin if payment has been made to join/re-join the scheme.
