Exciting Update on Lincolnshire's Local EV Infrastructure Fund Pilot Project!
I’m thrilled to share the latest on LCC’s Local EV Infrastructure (LEVI) Fund pilot project, a step forward in making electric vehicle charging accessible to more residents across Lincolnshire! In early 2023, Lincolnshire secured almost £250,000 from the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles, and now, plans are full speed ahead to roll out EV charging infrastructure for those without off-street parking or driveways.
What This Means: 109 new chargepoint sockets are set to be installed across approximately 55 sites, including our first one right here in Stamford on Recreation Ground Road! Each location will feature two discreet chargers, allowing two cars to charge at 7.4 kW simultaneously. This makes overnight charging or quick top-ups more accessible than ever.
Timeline: Installations are scheduled to begin in the new year, with all designs ensuring accessibility and minimal disruption to traffic.
Keeping You Informed: Before the chargepoints go live, updates and instructions will be sent to residents nearby so you’ll know exactly where and how to access these new chargers.
